The operating mode remained in doubt for a long time, and we all hoped for an increasing vaccination rate within the population, but now with society largely opened up it’s looking positive for this year’s Luxembourg Times BusinessRun. It’s finally time to get out of the home office! The seventh edition of the Luxembourg Times BusinessRun can actually take place as a live event!
Now the broad and flexible planning of the organizer has paid off and it is possible to react quickly to the current circumstances and to fall back on a prepared staging concept including hygiene measures. The COVID-19 traffic light has jumped to yellow. Thus, according to the official regulations, a maximum of 1,500 participants will have the opportunity to start LIVE at the Luxembourg Times BusinessRun 2021 on Thursday, September 16th. The run will be possible in compliance with the CovidCheck system: in addition to the registration, a negative COVID-19 test (max. 48 hours old), a certificate of vaccination or a recovery certificate with expiration date, is required for participation and access to the event site. Furthermore, all participants must show their ID card. Only the combination of race number, proof of identity and one of the certificates entitles the participants to enter the event area, where it is also compulsory to wear a medical mask in case distances cannot be kept.
The framework program with moderator, DJ and information booths will be reduced and adapted to the situation. Thus, there will probably be no further catering, no live music and no company marquees apart from the finishing catering. Spectators will also not be allowed. However, the exact details and offers are still to be decided. The limited starting places for the LIVE event will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, according to the time of registration.
In addition to the live event, there is once again the opportunity to participate virtually in the Luxembourg Times BusinessRun. From Wednesday, September 15th to Sunday, September 19th, participants can run on their personal favorite routes at any time. During the run, the interactive app “viRACE” will provide them with motivational messages from presenter Hartwig Thöne, and updates on the race and their intermediate results. This is an option designed especially for employees at other locations, on vacation or on a business trip to engage in sports alone and yet together with their colleagues. For those who want to take a less competitive approach, the free category “without timekeeping” is an optimal alternative.
Whether LIVE or VIRTUAL, the Luxembourg Times BusinessRun offers all running enthusiasts another opportunity to get out on the track at an event before the approaching autumn. Therefore, do not wait any longer and register directly. Online registration is still available at www.business-run.lu. The official registration deadline is Monday, August 30th.
